    Classical | Label: Chandos | # CHAN 10507X | Recorded: 1995, 1996

In this much requested re-issue, Chandos presents the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra performing Mozart’s Concerto for two pianos and Sinfonia concertante.
Both these works were written in Salzburg. The Concerto for two pianos was intended for performance by Mozart and his sister. With his justly famous Sinfonia concertante, boundlessly energetic in the outer movements and including a slow movement of quite remarkable poignancy, Mozart achieved one of his finest orchestral works before arriving in Vienna.

    Classical | Label: LAWO Classics

This release marks a musical homecoming for Sara Övinge, since she has chosen a slightly more convoluted career path than most violinists. Sara has sought out and immersed herself in contemporary music, Iranian music, composition, improvisation, and art-pop amongst several other musical pursuits. Her entire M.O. points to a strong and intrinsic need to be a co-creatingmusician, one who leaves her mark on the musical expression in a more comprehensive way than simply playing the notes on the stand. This record is no exception, being a result of her commissioning, her curating, and a substantial dose of willpower. Meeting with Kjetil Bjerkestrand in 2019, Sara found something she was looking for.

    WEB FLAC (tracks+booklet) - 270 MB | Tracks: 11 | 56:59 min
    Style: Classical | Label: Dacapo

Bent Sørensens (b. 1958) distinctive music thrives on the intangible, from atmospheres and feelings to memories and dreams. This recording assembles three recent concertos from the GrawemeyerAward-winning composer performed by distinguished Nordic soloists, beginning with a second piano concerto played by its dedicatee and inspiration, Leif Ove Andsnes. Sørensensclarinet concerto for Martin Fröstis inspired by the scents of Spanish poetry, while his trumpet concerto for Tine Thing Helsethfeeds of his constant obsession with the beauty and vulnerability of Venice. Each is highly evocative and filled with Sørensens own etched beauty.
