    EAC Rip | FLAC (image+.cue+log) - 367 MB | MP3 CBR 320 kbps (LAME 3.93) - 149 MB | Covers - 2 MB
Genre: Electronic, Berlin School | RAR 3% Rec. | Label: Ricochet Dream (RD041)

Classic Berlin School electronic music recorded live in Montana and evokes dreamy images of Yellowstone with influence of Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Steve Roach and even Ashra.
Recorded live in 2007 with the Ricochet Gathering Yellowstone 2007. Mario is also well known for his solo works, collaborations and the German electronic music label Manikin. Thomas Fanger has played in many ambient and techno electronic line-ups. He is also in film production. This release contains an epic long Berlin School electronic track akin to Tangerine Dream in the mid 1970's. Rainbow Serpent with Gerd and Frank have long followed in the Berlin School electronic music tradition and this CD features two tracks showing Rainbow Serpent in their prime. Guaranteed to please any fan of this electronic music genre.

Genre: Electronic, Berlin School | RAR 3% Rec. | Label: SynGate Records (Syngate CD-R 2082)

Keller & Schönwälder is the fusion of melodious movements with hypnotic spirals. In solo, they are very good and together they are even better. Released in 1998, two after the debut of the duo, Concerts shows that the chemistry between the two friends was already at its peak. Originally released on Manikin Music, Concerts is reissued on SynGate Music. As a bonus, we are entitled to nearly 30 minutes of EM recorded in concert in 2006. It is some big EM with long, sometimes a little too much, evolutionary courses where the art of improvised music and the mastery of instruments converge in very good musical moments. The duo has the art of assembling unpredictable musical structures, which mesmerize and captivate with a superb game of percussion and solos as heartbreaking as delirious. And if you are a 70's Klaus Schulze lover, Concerts, as well as the majority of Keller & Schönwälder's early works, become a must.

Genre: Electronic, Berlin School | RAR 3% Rec. | Label: SynGate (CD-R 2159)

This release from 2006 offers 78 minutes of stately music. This release in the "Analog Overdose" series features a selection of material from various live performances and studio rehearsals in 2001. These tracks are noticeably shorter than usual AO pieces (which tend to be extremely long slow-building structures). Some are around fifteen minutes in duration, but there are actually more than a few that aren't even two minutes long. This means there's more focus going on here; the compositions speedily get to the point and strut their flash. Keyboard cycles are generated, spiraling around each other with languid beauty. Patterns evolve and the interactions change accordingly. Heavenly textures descend to cloud the melodies with their regal demeanor…

    EAC Rip | FLAC (tracks+.cue+log) - 318 MB | MP3 CBR 320 kbps (LAME 3.93) - 131 MB | Covers - 76 MB
Genre: Electronic, Berlin School, Ambient | RAR 3% Rec. | Label: Manikin Records (MRCD 7073)

This release from 2005 offers 56 minutes of calming electronic music recorded live at the Liquid Sound Festival at the Toskana Therme, Bad Sulza on November 8, 2003. Mario Schönwälder, Detlef Keller (both on synths) and Thomas Kagerman (on violin) are joined by “friends”: Bas Broekhuis (on percussion), Gerd Wienekamp (from Rainbow Serpent) and Chris Lang (both on synths), and Andrea Saphira Leonhardi (on ethereal voice).
Employing gradually building strains in an improvisational milieu, the performers generate a distinguished dose of soothing sonics that steadfastly mounts in density and passion. Languid textures coalesce while percussion lurks with subtle presence. Violin drones enter the mix, flavoring the tuneage with a classical edge and injecting a romantic flair with melancholy definition…

Broekhuis-Keller-Schönwälder, for years a solid base in the Electronic and "Berlin School" style of music. Inspired by Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream and Vangelis they have managed to develop their own style of Electronic Music, with Trance and Ambient influences and their way to perform that on stage. Beautiful sequences and driving drums with a wide variety of pads and astonishing sound effects on top, which can best be described as "the -BK&S-way of Electronic Music".

Thomas Fanger and Mario Schönwälder from the famous Manikin label play wonderful Berlin School Retro electronic music similar to Klaus Schulze and Tangerine Dream. Bas Broekhuis adds drums on the last track. Some very long and contemplative tracks on this 2CD set.

Genre: Electronic, Berlin School | RAR 3% Rec. | Label: SynGate (CD-R SR01)

Filter-Kaffee 101 is the first collaborative project by Mario Schönwälder & Frank Rothe, who composed the music for this album between 2007 and 2011.
The 66-minute outcome, presented as eight different "cups", is melodic and rhythmic sequencer music featuring lots of vintage sound textures and warm solos hovering over them. Its mellow and well-tempered atmosphere also has a certain contemporary technical feel, while at the same time carefully incorporating the profound retro sound and feel of '70's electronic music.

Berlin School retro style electronic music with long tracks with carefully composed sequences and ambient landscapes that is perfect for dreaming and reflection.
Bas Broekhuis, Detlef Keller, Mario Schönwälder, Wolfram Spyra & Bill Fox get together as the Space Cowboys in Jelenia Gora Poland in September 2004 for the Ricochet Gathering Electronic Music Festival. All musicians are from Germany except Bill Fox who traveled from USA. Spyra and Bill Fox are featured on the last two tracks. This is the first time all musicians played together without rehearsal so the music is live and improvised. The music is definitely like 1970's Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze and this release is limited to only 300 digipaks.

One thing that must be said right from the beginning is that, for most of the tracks, it's very different to their previous collaboration 'Loops & Beats'. It is a live album, except the last piece, the tracks being taken from two performances and sound rather improvised. One of these performances was in a church and great use was made of the organ! The first track opens with chord after chord layered on top of one another but before long a sequence can be heard low in the mix. This gradually forces its way to the surface and mutates slowly throughout the piece, reminiscent of Klaus Schulze at times…
