In 1991 Steelheart released their self-titled debut, most notable for its octave-spanning vocals and a pair of hit power ballads:
"Never Let You Go," which reached number 14 on the Billboard singles chart; and "She's Gone," which fared well internationally.

After two highly praised trio CDs, Odyssey and Ithaca, the composer and bassist Barry Guy presents a new CD with the same trio members, pianist Marilyn Crispell and percussionist Paul Lytton. For his new compositions, Barry Guy was inspired by paintings of Max Ernst, Dorothea Tanning, Wilfredo Lam and Yves Tanguy, which provide the springboard for the compositional strategies that reflect dream scenarios and unusual juxtapositions of material whilst preserving improvising.

Concert No.2 for a piano and orchestra (C minor, Op. 18, 1901) has taken a special place in Rakhmaninov's creativity, becoming unlikely not the most popular his composition not only thanks to high art nobleness, beauty and expressiveness themes, completeness of the general concept but also because the composer has extraordinary brightly managed to embody in it the mood of joyful excitation, lifting, expectation something new by which wide ranges of Russian society have been captured on the threshold XX centuries.

On the CD «Odyssey,» Barry Guy, Marilyn Crispell and Paul Lytton play several of Barry Guy¹s most beautiful compositions: «Harmos,» «Double Trouble,» and «Odyssey.» Barry Guy is a first class composer, even when we lose sight of this in face of his diverse work as an improvising bassist. In addition to works for contemporary orchestras and different chamber music ensembles (for example Kronos), he has written influential compositions for the London Jazz Composers Orchestra or the Barry Guy New Orchestra.
