Free at Last is the sixth album (fifth studio album) by English rock band Free. The band had broken up in April 1971 due to differences between singer Paul Rodgers and bassist Andy Fraser, the drug problems of guitarist Paul Kossoff, and inconsistent record sales. The four members went their separate ways, but solo projects failed in all cases. Also, with the loss of the band, Kossoff degenerated further into severe depression; he felt guilty for, as he saw it, destroying the band, and this guilt only made the problem worse. It was this factor that led members of the band to set aside their differences and re-form, with the intention of potentially saving the guitarist's life.

Sing Sing Death House is the second album by punk rock band The Distillers, released 2002.
The Distillers were an energetic punk rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1998. They released their first two albums on Hellcat Records/Epitaph Records before moving to Sire, part of the Warner Music Group. The Distillers were originally formed by Australian-born Brody Armstrong (later Dalle), a woman with a distinctively harsh singing voice. Ex-wife of Rancid's Tim Armstrong, Brody changed her name to "Dalle" after their divorce in 2003. Although there were significant line-up changes it was Brody who played guitar, sang, and wrote or co-wrote nearly every song on the band's three albums. Tony Bradley also played guitar and Ryan Sinn played bass.

Although he was past the glory days of THE SIDEWINDER or his membership in Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers at this session, trumpeter Lee Morgan was perfectly capable of pulling out the stunning performances that had made him the golden boy of the hard-bop era. Morgan was only 30 when he recorded TARU for Blue Note in 1968.

LEEWAY presents Morgan in an all-star ensemble featuring the tart, swinging altoist Jackie McLean–a charter member of Blakey's earlier edition of the Jazz Messengers–and everyone's favorite bassist, Paul Chambers. Together with Jazz Messengers Blakey and Timmons, Chambers helps to rhythmically supercharge the soulful shuffles and blues which distinguish this upbeat blowing session. "These Are Soulful Days" is a funky hard bop anthem by Cal Massey, with a supple shift to 3/4 in the bridge. Morgan follows laid-back solos by Chambers, Timmons and McLean with an electrifying concoction of the rhythmic double time, vocal slurs and cascading melodic devices–each and every note sweetly articulated.
