    Mêlant comédie, humour et musique, ce quatuor de légende a marqué l'histoire de la chanson française pendant près de 40 ans, non seulement par l'excellence de ses interprétations, mais surtout pour sa célèbre facette scénique.

    Les "Frères Jacques", un quatuor vocal créé en 1944, ont marqué l'histoire de la chanson française avec leurs chorégraphies proches du mime, où ils arboraient justaucorps, collants, gants et chapeaux. Ce quator était composé de François Soubeyran, mort en 2002, de Paul Tourenne, et de deux frères, Georges et André Bellec qui vient de s'éteindre à l'age de 94 ans.

    The instrumental to ‘Konfusion’, a breezy, almost horizontally reclined groove that drops like a ton of gold bricks wrapped in silk, was produced just after the ‘Memories…’ album was completed and has spent a year and half gestating on dubplate, featuring in edited form both on Kode9’s Sonar Mix CD of last summer of 2007 and his infamous November 2007 Rinse Fm back‐toback radio show with Flying Lotus. The instrumental was recently vocaled by a chorus of cloned Spaceapes via a glitching, interstellar walkie‐talkie.

    Maintaining the impossibly high standards set by previous releases from the Bug and soon to be legendary Burial, label linchpin Kode 9 reverts to the format reserved for his own alchemical productions. This time round we get the anthemic, wrecked masterpiece 'backward' - an oddly bouncy yet sombre cut riding a metronomic cymbal synched with an effortless halfstep skanking pattern laying the foundation for Spaceape's endgame lyricism, minimal flexing business. How good?! On the flip '9 samurai' delivers one of those tracks that could have only come from the mind of hyperdub, a marching dirge for a 5am mooch in Brixton, Spaceape having finished a burning bowl of Jah-blessed and ranting on some dread philosophy tip. Darkside riddems for late night rizla replenishment - Mighty record.
