The 1979 set "Life, Love And Harmony" was conceived, produced and written by the team of Larry Farrow (Nancy's then-musical director) and Carolyn Johns and featured eight of nine compositions penned with Nancy in mind. Standouts included the now-classic jazzflavoured track Sunshine, the dance-oriented title track and ballads Open Up Your Heart And Take Me In and Wrapped Up In The Comfort Of Your Love. This expanded edition includes two singles from the LP.

In 1978 Marlena Shaw released her second album on Columbia Records, "Acting Up", the follow up to "Sweet Beginnings". "Acting Up" once again featured the production genius of the legendary Bert De Coteaux with musical contributions from Abraham Laboriel whose talent made him one of the most in demand bass players of recent years, travelling and working with artists such as Lionel Ritchie, Quincy Jones and Chaka Khan to name a few and on drums, ex-Motown session drummer, Quentin Dennard, all of which helped the album reach an impressive #60 on the Cash Box R&B Charts and #171 on the Billboard 200.

"Prime of My Life" is the 8th album by American soul singer-songwriter Phyllis Hyman. It was released by Philadelphia International Records on June 11, 1991 and featured Hyman's only pop hit "Don't Wanna Change the World", which peaked at #1 on the US Billboard R&B chart and #68 on the Billboard Hot 100. Both the album and single were RIAA certified Gold on September 24, 1992. The album charted at #10 on the Billboard R&B chart and #117 on the Billboard 200. "Prime of My Life" was the final studio album released during Hyman's lifetime, before she committed suicide four years later.

"Forever with You" is the 10th and final studio album by American soul singer-songwriter Phyllis Hyman. It was released by Volcano Records on July 28, 1998. The album was released three years after Hyman's death and contains twelve previously unreleased songs that were recorded between 1985 and 1995 during her time on the Philadelphia International Records label. The album charted on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart at #66 in 1998.
