In spite of the success of pianist Keith Jarrett over his long career, his compositions generally have not been explored very frequently by other jazz musicians. Guitarist Ulf Wakenius, recognized for his work as a leader and being a member of the Oscar Peterson Quartet, explores 14 of Jarrett's works, playing acoustic guitar and occasionally overdubbing a rhythm line. He's accompanied by Lars Danielsson (who plays bass, cello, and piano) and drummer Morten Lund. The relaxing ballad "Memories of Tomorrow" is a gentle bossa nova that translates very well into a guitar-driven vehicle. The Windup" is a playful calypso with a touch of funkiness…

"James Last was a German big band leader with a large fan base in Europe, although he has never had a comparable following in the United States. Last's trademark was arranging pop hits in a big-band style; his series of "party albums" is equally well-known. Over the course of his career, he has sold well over 50 million albums." James Last died on 9 June 2015 in Florida at the age of 86.

It is the band’s third album and will contain 12 new song including a very special duet with Liv Kristine (Leaves' Eyes, Theatre Of Tragedy). With “METAL DOME” the six Greeks present us an impressive come back and celebrate a fantastic firework of melodic anthems. The World as It Is Today is the third and last album by English avant-rock group Art Bears. It was recorded at Sunrise Studio in Kirchberg, Switzerland between 24 August and 7 September 1980, and was first released in 1981.

Born out of Mannheim outskirts, in Germany, Night Sun emulated with perfection British hard rock - influenced by the likes of Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Uriah Heep - blended with a delightful dose of psychedelia and schizophrenia typical of many German bands of those times. Mournin', their only and debut album, ranks itself as an excellent example of proto-metal, having particularly gone far beyond in originality matters if compared to bands like Lucifer's Friend. Sadly, Night Sun history is quite documented and the band only lasted for about three years followed by many line-up changes. Upon disbanding, shortly after the album release, bassist Bruno Schaab went on to join Guru Guru with whom he recorded 'Guru Guru' album in 1973, whilst keyboardist and trumpetist Knut Rössler founded Chameleon, his own jazz-fusion band.

Aurora Orchestra, together with conductor Nicholas Collon, is an innovative, energetic and talented ensemble. It has already amassed a good amount of praise from the critics, quickly establishing itself as the most significant new British chamber orchestra in a generation. Collon by himself is also making waves, increasingly in demand as a guest conductor in the UK and abroad. This album features a straightforwardly American repertoire selection, interspersing the core repertoire with some beautifully arranged folk/pop songs inspired by the theme.
