Wet Wet Wet are thrilled with their new 2025 album, Strings Attached. This new collection showcases the band's catalogue in a reimagined way that's never been heard before. The album includes reworked versions of phenomenal Number 1 hits Love Is All Around and Goodnight Girl, as well as chart toppers Angel Eyes, Temptation, Sweet Little Mystery and more. The release also showcases Wet Wet Wet's version of The Chain by Fleetwood Mac for the first time on record.

Slim cut this session in May 1968 in Chicago (with Mike Vernon producing) as a member of the Chicago Blues All Stars, an ad hoc touring group that consisted of Willie Dixon, Johnny Shines, Walter Horton, and Clifton James. With all that to recommend it, it's still a pretty workmanlike set - no real sparks of any kind, just competently played blues by five old veterans who could knock this stuff out in their sleep, and probably did.

George Shearing's solo piano CD Favorite Things doesn't hide his early background in the study of classical music, but at times it celebrates it. The only truly arranged piece on the album, "My Favorite Things," incorporates a portion of a Scarlatti sonata, while "Not You Again" hints at Tchaikovsky. "Taking a Chance on Love" was inspired by Brahms' E major Intermezzo, while Artie Shaw's "Moonray" has the character of a Baroque fugue. Many of the other tracks have an impressionistic flavor, especially the dreamy take of Dave Brubeck's "Summer Song" and the haunting treatment of Matt Dennis' "Angel Eyes." The pianist adds a warm, friendly vocal to the finale, "It Amazes Me." George Shearing was clearly enjoying himself during the two days of studio sessions which produced this CD; fans of solo jazz piano are invited to do the same.

Remy returns to these virtual pages with an offering thematically connected to his recent Disconnected, in title at least. The music is similarly influenced by Klaus Schulze, circa 1975-78 and fans of Schulze's recordings of that era are almost sure to enjoy this one. Remy composes very ably in this style, and while the stylistic innovations may be few, he is able to use and twist the style to respond to his personal expressions.

Throughout the late 1940s, T-Bone cut a sequence of singles for labels like Black & White and Capitol that laid the groundwork for what became the prevailing style of Blues recording. T-Bone transferred to the Imperial label in 1950 but the music continued in an unbroken line of creative superiority, heard in 'The Hustle Is On', 'Strollin' With Bone', 'I Get So Weary' and 'Here In The Dark'. 75 tracks.

The Life of a Showgirl is the upcoming twelfth studio album by the American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. It is scheduled for release on October 3, 2025, through Republic Records. Swift created the album during the European leg of the Eras Tour in 2024, inspired by her life as an entertainer. She described it as a vibrant and lively project, departing from the bleak lyricism of its predecessor, The Tortured Poets Department (2024). Swift wrote and produced The Life of a Showgirl with the producers Max Martin and Shellback in Sweden, working with the duo for the first time since Reputation (2017). It contains 12 songs, including the lead single, "The Fate of Ophelia". The American singer Sabrina Carpenter is featured on the album's title track. Photographed by Mert and Marcus, Swift adopted a provocative, showgirl-inspired theme for the album, which journalists described as the most glamorous and flamboyant visual aesthetic of her career.

2012 album from Yoko Ono and 1/2 of Sonic Youth. This is NYC avant-garde convergence at its finest. The idea of a meeting between Yoko, Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore is so perfect, so obvious, the only shock is that it didn't happen earlier. Recorded in 2011 at Manhattan's Sear Sound, the album features lead vocals by Yoko, with backing vocals and guitars by Kim and Thurston. It's a wild collision of song-form, poetics, free-rock and classic glossolalic ecstasy. Yoko has not allowed herself to sound this raw since the earliest recordings of the Plastic Ono Band. There's a remarkably empathic and comfortable quality to the sound. The three communicate as though they'd been playing together forever.

The title of Many Bright Things' third album highlights the nature of the project: a large cast of friends coalescing around guitarist Stan Denski. After a seven-year gap, Denski – better known by now as the compiler for QDK Media's high-profile series of obscure psychedelia, Love, Peace & Poetry – delivers an entertaining disc of spaced-out jams. Many Bright Friends combines the folky side of Jefferson Airplane ("Minor Parade for 18 Strings," the title track, "There Will Be a Slight Delay") and the crudest grooves of the Krautrock school. The album is structured around two main tracks. The first one is "East West," a 21-minute cover of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band's anthem to cross-pollination. Featured in this orgiastic jam are guitarists Denski, Nick Saloman, Daniel Noland, and Al Simones (trading solos); Vess Ruthenberg (bass); Steve Obenreder (drums); and harp player Byrd Birocco, who steals the show. "I Am Not a Collector Potato," the other key track here, is a feature for Jello Biafra, who tells listeners what collecting psychedelic records used to be like (with plenty of reverb in the voice), over a quiet groove improvised by Denski, Larry Demyer (guitar), David "Tufty" Clough (bass), and Lon Paul Elrich (percussion).
