Charm School is the eighth studio album by Swedish pop duo Roxette, released on 11 February 2011 by Roxette Recordings and Capitol. It was their first studio album since 2001's Room Service, and their first since vocalist Marie Fredriksson's brain tumour diagnosis in 2002. "She's Got Nothing On (But the Radio)" preceded the album as its lead single, which became the duo's highest-peaking single in almost two decades in territories such as Austria, Germany and Switzerland. The song also entered Billboard's Adult Contemporary Chart—making Roxette the only duo who appeared on that chart in the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s and 2010s.

Roxette With their hooky brand of dance-oriented pop/rock, Sweden's Roxette rose to fame as one of the biggest global pop acts of the '80s and '90s. Second in Sweden only to ABBA in terms of commercial success, the duo sold over 75 million records around the world, earning number ones in several countries with 1988's Look Sharp!, 1991's Joyride, and 1994's Crash! Boom! Bang!. They dominated the charts with songs like "The Look," "Listen to Your Heart," "Joyride," and "It Must Have Been Love," all four of which hit the top of the Billboard Hot 100.

The remix saga of Roxette started early on. We released the “Dance Passion” album which contained remixes of a few songs from our debut album “Pearls Of Passion” in 1987. To tell the truth, I never listened to D.P. that much. And I’m pretty sure Marie didn’t listen to it at all. No, that album wasn’t really our cup of tea. However, time went by and before long we found out about new amazing DJ’s, remixers and producers doing stunning stuff to original and great songs. We definitely wanted to be part of that journey! It’s very exciting to hear new interpretations of your own music, made by talented people coming in with new ideas from different angles. Now, after 35+ years, it’s time for the collected works. The Roxette Remixes. ROX RMX.

As half of the duo Roxette, Per Gessle became one of the most successful Swedish artists of his generation, if not the rock era. With a knack for catchy hooks, Gessle worked diligently to find international success with his music. When the power pop band Gyllene Tider failed to do so – still becoming one of the best-selling bands in Sweden – he disbanded the group and tried a solo career. When he finally formed Roxette with Marie Fredriksson in 1986, he achieved that worldwide success, which included U.S. number ones like "The Look" and "It Must Have Been Love."

If proof were needed that Roxette are the new ABBA, the lack of critical respect should be enough. Like Abba, Roxette is a masterful pop band (with just the right amount of kitsch in its armor) that routinely gets slagged off for lacking substance, whatever that may be. Room Service showcases a band at the top of its form with its feet firm on the pedal: this album is a case study in songcraft and pop smarts. With its na-na-na choruses and sparkly guitars, Room Service is also trademark Roxette, a mostly no-surprises package that divides its time between the soaring, emotive power ballads and the rife-with-hooks rock-dance stompers that the band pretty much took patents out on back in the '80s and '90s.

Crash! Boom! Bang! is the fifth studio album by Swedish pop duo Roxette, released on 9 April 1994 by EMI. The album was an immediate commercial success, peaking within the top 10 in over 20 national charts throughout Europe, Australasia and South America. Despite this, the full-length album was never released in the United States, where a shortened version of the record titled Favorites from Crash! Boom! Bang! was sold for a limited time through outlets of the McDonald's restaurant chain. This edition sold over a million copies there. Japanese editions included "Almost Unreal" as a bonus track.

Mostly recorded live, much of Tourism, a worthy compilation of hits, misses, and new cuts, spotlights how strong an act they are even without the benefit of studio production. From the lead song, "How Do You Do!," a perfectly presented pop ditty, bright and sunny as summer, to a rejuvenated version of one of their biggest hits, "It Must Have Been Love" – you have to hear 45,000 Chileans singing back-up to truly appreciate what was one of their least affecting ballads – you come to appreciate what true pop craftsmanship is. A spare "Things Will Never Be the Same," on which the two share lead vocals with only the backing of an acoustic guitar, and the haunting, hopeful "Queen of Rain" are both so accomplished they should have been released as singles.

In the five years between Roxette's last album, Crash, Boom, Bang, and this, their "comeback" album, pop music had changed considerably. Crash, Boom, Bang failed, in part, because it was completely out of step with the times; in 1994 grunge, alternative, and rap ruled the charts, but Roxette always produced a relatively crisp and clean brand of pop/rock. In the five years since then, however, Brit-pop brought alternative rock back towards pop, electronica made dance music "cool" again, and bubblegum pop bands like the Spice Girls made unabashed pop fun again. Also, Per Gessle was fresh off from his very rock-oriented 1997 solo album.

The beauty of Roxette is that the duo of Per Gessle and Marie Fredriksson can do practically anything in terms of Top 40 music. From the quiet desperation of "Spending My Time" to the chanting carnival of "Joyride" to the folky "Church of Your Heart," they bring a worldliness to their lyrics and melodies that most pop A-listers don't even have the imagination to dream of. This, the follow-up to their breakthrough disc, Look Sharp!, sees through on what that collection hinted at, meaning most of the songs sound like they were designed to be hit singles, not just filler between two or three good cuts. "The Big L," "Soul Deep," and "Hotblooded" all follow in the successful vein Gessle and Fredriksson mined with "The Look," while "Fading Like a Flower (Every Time You Leave)," an insistent rock ballad, and the accordion-driven "Perfect Day" take things down a notch.

Pearls of Passion is Roxette's debut album, released on 31 October 1986. It was re-released internationally on CD on 31 October 1997 with some previously unreleased or single-only bonus tracks. The album was originally only released in Scandinavia and Canada. The album peaked at #2 on the Swedish albums chart but apart from Canada and Scandinavia it failed to get released outside Sweden. However, Roxette went onto record and release their follow-up, Look Sharp!. "Neverending Love", "Goodbye to You", "Soul Deep" and "I Call Your Name" were released as singles. "It Must Have Been Love" was later used in the movie Pretty Woman. "Soul Deep" reappeared on their album Joyride in 1991 and "So Far Away" was recorded again for Tourism in 1992.

Good Karma is the tenth studio album by Swedish pop rock duo Roxette. The album was released on 3 June 2016 by Parlophone. It is the first album under a new international recording contract with Parlophone's parent company, Warner Music Group. "It Just Happens" was released as the album's first single on 8 April 2016. Per Gessle said of the album: "For the new record, we wanted to combine our classic Roxette sound with a modern and slightly unpredictable production to create a soundscape where you would both recognise our sound and find something new."
