The legendary Robin Trower continues his prolific period with the release of a brand-new studio album, Come And Find Me. The record will be released on 25 April via Provogue. As he reaches his eighth decade, with a lifetime of accolades and a seminal body of music behind him, Robin Trower is still chasing the biggest high he knows. It always starts the same way, with a road-scuffed Fender Stratocaster and a revved-up Marshall amplifier, those skilful fingers exploring the fretboard until a riff sticks and a new song ignites. And from the cultural flashpoint of Sixties London with Procol Harum, through 1974’s stadium-filling Bridge Of Sighs, right up to this year’s acclaimed Come And Find Me, it’s these addictive moments of creation that have kept the guitarist vital, relevant and contemporary while his peers trade on past glories.

Neil Young and Reprise Records release Coastal: The Soundtrack, featuring 11 live recordings from the tour film of the same name.

“The music has the dash and the unabashed lyricism of Keith Jarrett’s best work,” wrote Stereophile in 1994 of At The Deer Head Inn, the first selection of material from the pianist’s spontaneous and in retrospect historic return to the Pennsylvanian venue of his early years. Gramophone spoke of “spellbinding” playing, and the Los Angeles Times hailed “a compendium of grace”. All attributes applicable also to this edition, featuring eight previously unreleased performances, which dives deeply into the magic of this special event, a one-night-only coming together of a Jarrett trio with Gary Peacock and Paul Motian. Keith Jarrett: “It was like a reunion and a jam session at the same time.” Songs featured are “Everything I Love”, “I Fall In Love Too Easily, “All of You”, “Someday My Prince Will Come”, “Golden Earrings”, “How Long Has This Been Going On” and a wonderful bluesy account of the Nat Adderley tune that gives the album its name. An attentive and amazed audience hangs on every note.

After famously playing their second show at Woodstock in August 1969, David Crosby, Stephen Stills, Graham Nash, and Neil Young spent the rest of the year touring and writing songs for what would become CSNY’s 1970 debut, Déjà Vu.

In August of 1961, the John Coltrane Quintet played an engagement at the legendary Village Gate in Greenwich Village, New York. Eighty minutes of never-before-heard music from this group were recently discovered at the New York Public Library. In addition to some well-known Coltrane material ("Impressions"), there is a breathtaking feature for Dolphy's bass clarinet on "When Lights Are Low" and the only known non-studio recording of Coltrane's composition "Africa", from the Africa/Brass album.

Brian Eno is a legendary musician, producer, visual artist, and activist who first came to international prominence in the early ‘70s as a founding member of the British band Roxy Music, followed by a series of solo albums, collaborations, and production work with artists such as David Bowie, Talking Heads, Devo, U2, Coldplay, his brother Roger Eno, and most recently, fred again.

The Piano Quintet, unusually scored for clarinet, horn, violin and cello, is a product of Fibich's maturity. The Largo is the heart of the work, one of the most richly Romantic slow movements in the Czech chamber repertoire. These excellently recorded performances are near-ideal. The performers provide idiomatic, affectionate readings that fully convey the originality and lyrical assurance of these works.
