"Abyss" is the fourth album by British heavy metal band Lionsheart, released by Metaledge Records on 24 June 2004. It is the last to feature Steve Grimmet on vocals. "Abyss" is often hailed by fans as the rebirth of Lionsheart being their first studio album since 1998's Under Fire. The album received good reviews garnering a 6.5 out of 10 from the All Music Guide and the same from Roadrunner Records Blabbermouth.net.

"Book of the Dead" is the second album by metal band Bloodbound. It is the first with Pelle Åkerlind on drums, and the only one to feature the German vocalist Michael Bormann, who was under a one-time contract to record this album. While the singer is mostly known for his melodic rock/AOR works, his adaptability is very much in favor of the band and fronts this effort flawlessly delivering the appropriate heavy/power metal tone. Beyond vocals, the album features a totally devastating rhythm section that manages to sound interesting throughout the album while the guitars retain a fair balance between riffs and melodic lines, both in no short supply.

100 Hits begins with some songs that might be termed new romantic, then shifts into non-romantic synth pop, then sophisti-pop, and then, suddenly, it looks more like a compilation more accurately classified as "'80s pop, alternative, and mainstream." Like the other sets in the 100 Hits series from the U.K.'s EMI-funded Demon label, 100 Hits: The New Romantics features 20 songs on each one of its five discs and provides a big chunk of music for a small price. This is ideal for hoarders who care more about obtaining a wide swath of songs on a budget than focused track lists with nice packaging. Most of the tracks were, indeed, hits, new romantic or not. Duran Duran's "Planet Earth," Japan's "Ghosts," the Human League's "Sound of the Crowd," and Thomas Dolby's "Hyperactive!" are among the highlights.

Sony Classical presents Horowitz plays Scriabin remastered, celebrating Russian composer and pianist Alexander Scriabin (1872 - 1915) and featuring the complete authorized studio recordings by Vladimir Horowitz, newly remastered from the original analogue tapes and discs.

Symphonion Dream was the last album recorded by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band before Jim Ibbotson left and the band began to move away from its traditional jug band/bluegrass roots. The big question is why in 1975, when the rest of the First Division of country-rock practitioners – the Eagles, Poco, Souther-Hillman-Furay et al – had been travelling for some time in the direction of simplified, stadium-friendly AOR, the NGDB went the other way and produced what I think is the best, and surely the quirkiest, psychedelic country album ever.
