The 5th album by Polish band Loonypark, the first with singer Magda Grodecka. The new chapter is just beginning in the depths of the space eight! Loonypark was formed in 2007 in Krakow, Poland, by Krzysztof Lepiarczyk (keys) and Jakub Grzesło (drums). The line-up was soon completed by vocalist Sabina Godula-Zając (Liquid Shadow), guitarist Piotr Grodecki and bassist Piotr Lipka (both of whom had played with Krzysztof in Meteopata). Jakub left before the second album, to be replaced by Grzegorz Fieber (also from Meteopata). All of the band members are session musicians with Krzysztof playing in Polish Mess (along with Piotr L and Grzegorz), Sticky Hands, Padre and others. For those who know Padre, that is an acoustic project, while Loonypark has no restrictions on what they are trying to do.

Aldous Harding’s third album, Designer is released on 26th April and finds the New Zealander hitting her creative stride. After the sleeper success of Party (internationally lauded and crowned Rough Trade Shop’s Album of 2017), Harding came off a 200-date tour last summer and went straight into the studio with a collection of songs written on the road. Reuniting with John Parish, producer of Party, Harding spent 15 days recording and 10 days mixing at Rockfield Studios, Monmouth and Bristol’s J&J Studio and Playpen. From the bold strokes of opening track ‘Fixture Picture’, there is an overriding sense of an artist confident in their work, with contributions from Huw Evans (H. Hawkline), Stephen Black (Sweet Baboo), drummer Gwion Llewelyn and violinist Clare Mactaggart broadening and complimenting Harding’s rich and timeless songwriting.

When writing a revue of one of the most beautiful voices ever it's difficult to know where to begin. Ms. Reddy's singing is astonishing. Her abiliity to hold a single note with such unwavering clarity and to know or more likely to feel when to let it go is absolutely amazing. She literally flows through the music with such perfect interpretation of the lyrics. It has been said that a beautiful singing voice is like musical instrument when played to perfection.

Perspective, it seems, is everything. Those of a certain age will probablyremember Gilbert O'Sullivan as a flat cap-wearing, piano ballad merchant whose introspective sub-McCartney songs grew ever more mawkish as his success grew. Worst of these crimes would have to be the sickly ode to his manager/svengali Gordon Mills' daughter, ''Clair'' with its cute pay-off.

Jacques Duphly is remembered not so much as a composer, but as one of the best harpsichord teachers and performers in Paris during the instrument’s “Golden Age”. His extant oeuvre consists of only four books of harpsichord music (52 compositions in all), technically adept and often challenging works that specialists have tended to regard more as teaching aids than as original, innovative contributions to the literature.
