"Cool from the Wire" is Dirty Looks' studio album. It was released in 1988 on Atlantic Records. It includes the song "Oh Ruby", that received airplay on rock stations. The album peaked #134 in Billboard 200. Henrik Ostergaard has that whole Bon Scott sound down pretty darn close, and the rhythm section of former Harpo bassist Jack Pyers, drummer Gene Barnett could give AC/DC a run for their money. The 4 musicians on this CD are rock solid. This is one rocking recording, the best from Dirty Looks. If you have never listened to this album… you missed the boat in the mid 80's.

Hailing from England, Ashkan made blues-oriented hard rock, with influences of Free and Black Cat Bones and a little more madness. The vocals are at times reminiscant of Mike Harrison (of Spooky Tooth) or elsewhere like Joe Cocker. The band’s sound is propelled by Bailey’s hoarse growl and the band’s penchant for screaming guitars. While most songs stay with the progressive meets blues sound found in “Going Home” or “Practically Never Happens,” the band does vary that sound a bit, including the almost folk “Stop (Wait and Listen)” and early Traffic in “Slightly Country”. Released in 1969, “In From The Cold” remains as Ashkan’s only album.

The first box covered Carlo Maria Giulini's recordings from the late 1970s and early 1980s with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra and focused on Beethoven and Brahms; these, from the mid-'70s, feature the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and are partly devoted to late Romantic pieces that put the famed Chicago brasses to work.

RCA Records and Legacy Recordings are to release Way Down In The Jungle Room, a new double CD (and 2LP vinyl) collection of Elvis Presley‘s last studio recordings. This comprehensive collection brings together, for the first time, master recordings and rare outtakes laid down during two sessions (February 2-8, 1976 and October 28-30, 1976) in Presley’s home studio in Graceland – known as the “Jungle Room”. The outtakes have been newly mixed (by engineer Matt Ross-Spang) at Sam Phillips Recording in Memphis, Tennessee.
