This DVD features the Whitesnake founding members performing Whitesnake’s greatest hits live! Guitarists Bernie Marsden and Micky Moody with bassist Neil Murray are joined by a host of well known guest musicians to perform all the classic songs that launched Whitesnake into the stadiums of the world. Their combined musical ability produce a phenomenal live show recorded in front of a sold-out audience in June 2004 at Mechanics in Burnley (UK).

8th Day were a studio-based congregation on Invictus Records: the post-Motown label from Holland/Dozier/Holland. There wasn't an official group lineup, and the musicians and singers in 8th Day were featured in other Invictus/Hot Wax groups – most notably in 100 Proof (Aged In Soul) – but sweating over the details of who did what and who was where misses the point of the Invictus sound: the sound and the songs took prominence over group membership, and why not? The team at Invictus was tremendous, creating big, "Wall of Sound" productions that were nevertheless nimble, stylish, and lush: a perfect expansion of the Motown aesthetic for the post-psychedelic, smooth, soul era.

This two-fer from Beat Goes On features a pair of albums by blues guitarist Roy Buchanan, That's What I Am Here For and Rescue Me; both were originally issued on Polydor in 1974. Highlights from these albums include cover versions of "Hey Joe," "C.C. Rider," "I'm a Ram," and "Country Preacher."…

In the wake of his ascension into the pop Top Ten with the ballad "If Ever You're in My Arms Again," Peabo Bryson might have been expected to try to consolidate that success with his follow-up record. And indeed, Take No Prisoners, produced by such crossover veterans as Arif Mardin and Tommy LiPuma and featuring such pop songwriters as Barry Mann, Cynthia Weil, and Tom Snow, may have seemed like a try for that.

2nd effort from Swedish hard rock band. Traditional melodic hard rock with metal hints, blonde dudes and good tracks. This is a great CD! It's heavy, but still 100% melodic hard rock. Check out the biggest hook ever on 'Bye Bye Girl', or the amazing 'Why Baby Why'… or the spine chilling pre-chorus in 'Crazy'.

After releasing Say You Will in April of 2003, Fleetwood Mac embarked on a long world tour. In late 2003, Live In Boston was recorded. Released in June of 2004, Live In Boston contained two dvds of the concert and a cd containing 10 of the tracks. Each song on here is performed very well, and usually heavier than its studio album version.
