The Rome Pro(G)ject are back! Three and 1/2 years after the huge success of their eponymus debut album, “The Rome Pro(G)ject”, namely Steve Hackett on guitars (Genesis/Gtr/Solo), David Jackson on winds (VDGG), Billy Sherwood on bass (Yes/Circa/Solo) and Vincenzo Ricca (keyboards), teamed up with a bunch of fantastic musicians, is going to release their second album, “II - Of Fate and Glory”. 67 minutes of instrumental progressive rock in 10 tracks plus a bonus one.

Kelis Was Here is the fourth studio album by American singer-songwriter Kelis, released August 22, 2006 by Jive Records. It features production by Bangladesh, Raphael Saadiq, Max Martin, Sean Garrett, and Scott Storch, among others, and also features collaborations with will.i.am, Nas, Cee-Lo, Too Short, and Spragga Benz. The album received a nomination for Best Contemporary R&B Album at the 2007 Grammy Awards and is notable for being the first Kelis record to feature no production from longtime collaborators The Neptunes.

Long awaited comeback from Felicia Adams who first came to wider attention via her ‘Read My Lips’ CD from 2004. ‘Re-birth’ has all the hallmarks of her old school sensibilities especially on the beautiful, laid back ‘Baby, Baby’, the throwback, vintage Motown-esq curveball of ‘Music Thang’ and the lazy, hypnotic ‘Melody’. ‘Best Of Me’ brings in some funk and see Felicia turn up the attitude a notch or two, ‘Wake Up’ is a blissful dreamy mid tempo highlight.

Understandably, Screaming Trees gained far more attention during the '90s, caught up as that decade was in the Nirvana fallout and the fluke (but well-deserved) success of "Nearly Lost You." But the band's '80s efforts are worth a listen, and Anthology, cherry-picking from the three SST albums as well as the Other Worlds EP that preceded them, is a fair enough place to start…

MONO is how most listeners first heard Elvis in the 1950s and 1960s, when it was the predominant audio format. Until 1968, each Elvis album was given a unique MONO and STEREO mix, but Elvis always regarded the MONO mix as primary. This was also true for singles. Up until affordable home STEREO systems in the late 1960s, the record industry always regarded STEREO as secondary, going back to its debut in the late 1950s. MONO singles, EPs and LPs were the standard for retail and radio.

David Felder’s (b. 1953) music may be somewhat difficult to categorize for the average listener. Electronics are an important component, not simply as an enhancement to human players in an orchestra, but as an additional instrument: a concerto for electronics and orchestra. This idea is beautifully expressed in the opening piece, “Tweener,” where electronics and the Slee Sinfonietta combine to give a feeling of the “music of the spheres.” Vigorous oscillations across many octaves from the very high to a descent well below the baseline by the rarely heard, contra-bass clarinet, attempt to express the feeling of infinite space.

This wide-ranging collection provides an overview of Carlo Maria Giulini's collaborations with London s most distinguished orchestras, including his beloved Philharmonia Orchestra. Released in anticipation of the 100th anniversary of the conductor's birth in 2014, this 17-disc set showcases the sheer quality and breadth of Giulini's recorded legacy, and includes reverential and deeply-felt readings of Beethoven, Brahms and Schumann; thrilling performances of overtures by Verdi and Rossini; and vivid and colorful Debussy, Ravel, Falla and Stravinsky, all led with the utmost flair and commitment.

Rainbow Serpent are one of the best Electronic Music bands to emerge from Germany having a rare talent for infectious sequences and sublime melodies. At one moment they can produce tracks overflowing with the joy of life and then in the next turn their hands to growling menacing stuff. Frank Specht is one half of the awesome Rainbow Serpent and as with Gerd Wienekamp's (the other half of Rainbow Serpent) album 'Der Laborant - Kontakt' what we get is a mixture of very recognisable Serpent characteristics as well as a different angle identifying the individuality of each member.

BROWN EYED BEGINNINGS is a two-disc set that features material from Van Morrison's first solo sessions for Bang Records initially released as BLOWIN' YOUR MIND, and later as THE BANG MASTERS. The first disc includes the familiar tunes from those recordings, while the second consists of an untitled jam.

Bringing to mind a superb mix of Dexter Gordon and Sonny Rollins, I'm All for You finds forward-thinking saxophonist Joe Lovano expertly balancing heartfelt melodicism and cerebral harmonic improvisation. Easily one of Lovano's most listenable endeavors, the ballads-oriented album pulls no punches and simply allows you to sit back and enjoy a master play at his utter best. Joining him is journeyman pianist Hank Jones, who brings his urbane touch to such classic standards as "Don't Blame Me" and "Like Someone in Love." Rounding out the ensemble are longtime Lovano associates bassist George Mraz and drummer Paul Motian, who lend an egoless mentality to the proceedings, helping to emphasize lush group interplay over individual pyrotechnics.
