Cellar Music boss Cory Weeds returns with another fine recording backed by the dependently swinging rhythm section of frequent Cellar Music players (pianist Miles Black, bassist John Lee, and drummer Jesse Cahill) and alongside the famously big horn of Jerry Weldon! Weeds is an accomplished and highly stylized tenor man cut from the swinging cloth of Gene Ammons, Sonny Rollins, Dexter Gordon, and George Coleman. On 'Meets Jerry Weldon', this winning formula continues. This recording is not sheepish about acknowledging its two-tenor front line influences.

The Principle of Moments is the second solo studio album by the English singer Robert Plant, formerly of Led Zeppelin. It was Plant's second Top 10 album in the US and UK. It also gave him his first solo Top 40 hit with "Big Log". The most popular track on album-oriented rock radio in the US was "Other Arms", which reached number-one on the Billboard Top Tracks chart. Genesis' drummer Phil Collins played drums for five of the album's eight songs (as he did on Pictures at Eleven). On the other two tracks former Jethro Tull drummer Barriemore Barlow performed. On the closing track "Big Log", Gerald Woodroffe programmed a Roland TR-808 drum machine. Like Plant's debut solo studio album, Pictures at Eleven (1982), the songs departed from the hard rock sound of Led Zeppelin. Following the strength of these albums, Plant launched a successful tour in 1983. Phil Collins was the drummer for Plant's band for the North American portion of the tour. Collins was content to perform in the background, despite his own enormous success as a solo artist and with Genesis at the time. Little Feat's Richie Hayward played drums for the remaining dates.

The baritone Andrè Schuen releases a further pre-release track of his upcoming album Mozart, a beautifully curated project of Mozart arias, duets and songs. The album celebrates Schuen’s deep and longstanding relationship to the composer and his birth- and creative place Salzburg.

I've always wanted to make a country album - A lot of people detect the influences of soul in my music but I've also always loved country - Growing up, I was hungry for any kind of music but I would listen to people like Chet Atkins, The Everly Brothers, Hank Williams and I particularly loved Ray Charles, who is predominantly known for his soul and jazz stuff, but could also sing really great country.

Tina Live in Europe is the first live album by Tina Turner, released on Capitol Records in 1988. The album is compiled of live performances made between 1985 and 1987, the majority of which are from Turner's Break Every Rule World Tour but also from the 1985 Private Dancer Tour, as well as the 1986 Tina Turner: Break Every Rule HBO special recorded in London at the Camden Palace (now Koko), masquerading as Le Club Zero in Paris, also released on video. The double album reached #8 in the UK Albums Chart. In 1989 the album won a Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance. The double CD version of Tina Live in Europe includes four bonus songs not featured on the original double vinyl album.

For the People is the upcoming thirteenth studio album by American Celtic punk band Dropkick Murphys, due to be released on July 4, 2025 (streaming), and October 10, 2025 (CD and LP), on Dummy Luck Records. The CD and LP versions of the album will feature five bonus tracks that will not appear on the streaming version.

This CD is the audio soundtrack to the long, out of print US only released VHS video from 1984 called Pink Floyd's David Gilmour which was recorded and filmed at The Hammersmith Odeon in London in April of 1984. This classic 1984 concert was recorded and filmed towards the end of Gilmour's 1984 European leg of his first solo tour in support of his 1984 album About Face and sees Gilmour joined by an all-star band featuring Bad Company lead guitarist Mick Ralphs, ex-Manfred Mann drummer Chris Slade (who would join The Firm with Jimmy Page and Paul Rodgers after the US leg of the About Face Tour ended in the summer of 1984 and he would later join AC/DC), longtime Pete Townshend percussionist Jodi Linscott, keyboard player Gregg Dechart (a Canadian who had played for awhile in Uriah Heep), bass player Mickey Feat (who had just played on the first Fastway album (the band formed by ex-Motorhead guitarist Fast Eddie Clarke) before joining Gilmour's band) and saxophonist Raphael Ravenscroft and they deliver a blistering performance.

Nick Mason is one of the biggest selling artists of all time. A co-founding member of Pink Floyd, he is the only constant member of the group, performing on all of their albums as well as all of their live shows. Unattended Luggage is a further celebration of Nick Mason and his undeniably significant contribution to music. The set contains: ‘Fictitious Sports’ - Nick’s debut solo album which was originally released in 1981 and saw him collaborate with a variety of different musicians including Robert Wyatt and Carla Bley. ‘Profiles’ - A collaboration with 10cc guitarist Rick Fenn, it was Nick’s second album outside of Pink Floyd and was released in 1985 as ‘Mason + Fenn’. This is a mainly instrumental album except for tracks ‘Lie for a Lie’, which features vocals from Maggie Reilly and former bandmate David Gilmour and ‘Israel’, sung by UFO keyboardist Danny Peyronel. ‘White of the Eye’ - A soundtrack for a British thriller movie of the same name, Nick once again collaborated with Rick Fenn. Originally released in 1987, in conjunction with the film's release, this is the first time the record has been made available for over 20 years, and the first time it will appear on CD.

If you are a fan of Alice Cooper's first album "Pretties For You" you will love this. It consists of live versions of songs from that album plus a live version of "Nobody Likes Me", a song from the same period that has turned up in demo form on the "Old School" and "Life And Crimes…" box sets. The sound quality of the recording is great and highlights the band in all their early glory. In 1969 Alice Cooper was of course a band (not just a singer) and they hadn't yet met producer Bob Ezrin who transformed them into the Alice Cooper most people will know better - "I'm Eighteen", "School's Out", "Elected" and so on. For those of us who love "Pretties For You" and "Easy Action" it is an essential purchase.

Creatures of the Night is the tenth studio album by American heavy metal band Kiss, released in 1982. It is the band's last for Casablanca Records, the only label for which Kiss had recorded up to this point. The album was dedicated to the memory of Casablanca founder and early Kiss supporter Neil Bogart, who had died of cancer during the recording sessions. It is also the band's last album recorded with Ace Frehley credited as an official member (until 1998's Psycho Circus), and its first album with Vinnie Vincent as the initially uncredited lead guitarist (Vincent would later be credited but not featured on the cover of the 1985 reissue of the album). It was also the band's last album to feature the band with their trademark makeup until Psycho Circus was released.

After achieving a reluctant Top Ten hit with a rock version of the traditional Irish pub ballad "Whiskey in the Jar," Thin Lizzy began work on Vagabonds of the Western World – their third, and ultimately last album for Decca Records. The single's surprise success gave the band bargaining power to demand more money and time to record, resulting in their first sonically satisfying album. The environmentally-conscious R&B of "Mama Nature Said" kicks things off with Eric Bell leading the way on slide guitar. The overblown "The Hero and the Madman" and the tepid "Slow Blues" threaten to derail the proceedings, but all is well again when the band break into their first bona fide classic "The Rocker."

Swapping out his rhythm section, Andrew Stockdale proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that he's the mastermind of Wolfmother on Cosmic Egg, creating a second record that is essentially a replication of the first, equally enamored with all the thick, heavy rock of the '70s, specifically Sabbath and Zeppelin, tempered with a little bit of Jack White caterwaul. All the sounds remain the same, but the songs have changed: with the occasional exception, such as the Stripes-ian salute "White Feather," Stockdale backs away from simple, brutal riff-driven songs, preferring churning exercises in heavy fantasy, sometimes colored with some Deep Purple organ.
