Mr. Bungle was an American experimental rock band from Eureka, California. The band was formed in 1985 while the members were still in high school, and was named after a 1950s children's educational film regarding bad habits which was later featured in a 1981 Pee-wee Herman HBO special. Mr. Bungle was known for its highly eclectic style, often cycling through several musical genres within the course of a single song. Many of its songs had an unconventional structure and utilized a wide array of instruments and samples. Live shows often featured members dressing up (usually in masks earlier in the band's career) and an array of cover songs. The Real Thing is the third studio album by American rock band Faith No More, released on June 20, 1989 by Slash and Reprise Records. It was the first major release by the band not to feature vocalist Chuck Mosley. Instead, the album featured Mike Patton from the experimental/funk band Mr. Bungle. On this album, Faith No More continued to advance their sound range, combining thrash metal, funk, hip hop, progressive rock, synthpop, carousel music, and hard rock, along with what has been described as "a black sense of humor".

This is a vital step in the process to ultimately delivering the absolute best sounding version of Hybrid Theory ever. Don't Give Me Names is the second studio album by the German band Guano Apes, released in 2000. It includes the hit single "Big in Japan" (a cover of the Alphaville song), which peaked at #9 on the German charts and remains one of Guano Apes' most popular songs. The album was certified gold in Germany and in Switzerland.
German alt-rock quartet Guano Apes feature vocalist Sandra Nasic, guitarist Henning Rümenapp, bassist Stefan Ude, and drummer Dennis Poschwatta. Ude, Rümenapp, and Poschwatta had been playing together for a while and added Nasic in time to win first place in the 1996 "Local Heroes" competition held by VIVA, Germany's music TV channel. Guano Apes' fusion of metal, pop, and rap beat out over 1,000 competitors, and their debut single, "Open Your Eyes," was a Top Ten hit in Germany that year and stayed in the Top 100 for 30 weeks…

Shadow Zone is the third album by the band Static-X, released on October 7, 2003. Marked by many personnel and stylistic changes, the album sports a much more melodic sound than any other work in their catalog, while still staying in the confines of their industrial metal and nu metal sound. It was the only album to feature drummer Josh Freese and the first of two albums to feature guitarist Tripp Eisen.
