On the cover of Must Be Nice, the Vermont duo comprising Soule Monde—drummer Russ Lawton and keyboardist Ray Paczkowski- stand in wintery repose on the grounds of a lifeless grey mansion. Paczkowski looks off into the distance while a smiling Lawton holds the sarcastic title card; two trespassers delivering the musical antidote to a cold, bleak, and uninviting place.

Acclaimed director Christopher Nolan (The Dark Night Trilogy, Interstellar, Inception) directs this World War II thriller, starring Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh and Cillian Murphy. Hans Zimmer, longtime Nolan's collaborator provides the score. The movie features the evacuation of Allied soldiers from Belgium, the British Empire, Canada, and France, who were cut off and surrounded by the German army from the beaches and Harbor of Dunkirk, France, between May 26 - June 04, 1940, during the Battle of France.

Saying this record is a classic product of its time understates – the cover art alone, referring to the title by showing a denim-clad female rear in the hands of a no doubt appreciative fellow, is so beyond irony that Spinal Tap might as well have jacked it in before they started…

The team behind last year's excellent The Glory Days Of Aussie Pub Rock compilation return with another four-CD instalment paying testament to the halcyon days of our nation's live music scene, and fortunately they have a deep well from which to draw tunes and inspiration.

With their second album Rides Again, the James Gang came into their own. Under the direction of guitarist Joe Walsh, the group – now featuring bassist Dale Peters – began incorporating keyboards into their hard rock, which helped open up their musical horizons. For much of the first side of Rides Again, the group tear through a bunch of boogie numbers, most notably the heavy groove of "Funk #49." On the second side, the James Gang departs from their trademark sound, adding keyboard flourishes and elements of country-rock to their hard rock. Walsh's songwriting had improved, giving the band solid support for their stylistic experiments. What ties the two sides of the record together is the strength of the band's musicianship, which burns brightly and powerfully on the hardest rockers, as well as on the sensitive ballads.

Ian Wills has always had somewhat of a ‘revolving door policy’ on his critically acclaimed band Wills & The Willing.

Sergei Rachmaninoff was a gifted composer not only for his own instrument, the piano, as is abundantly clear in this new GENUIN release featuring Leipzigs MDR Chorus. The elite choir is already presenting its second recording of Rachmaninoffs Great Evening and Morning Praise to replace their award-winning 2002 version. Choir director Risto Joost himself engaged several Latvian basses for the project, whose exceptionally dark timbre wonderfully enhances the warm and breathtakingly beautiful sound of the choir. A magnificent recording of a magnificent work!

Keep was an alternative rock band based out of Boynton Beach, FL. They were together (in one form or another) from 1999 to late 2004. They recorded and released three proper albums during their career, as well as one unreleased studio demo. Their music can be best described as well-written and well-played pop-rock with an alternative rock approach; catchy hooks, layered melodies, rhythmic tightness, and pop sensibility are good catch words to describe their sound.

Firstly, this album represents a welcome return to the studio, and the recording catalogues, of the Russian violinist Mark Lubotsky. In English-speaking countries, Lubotsky is renowned as the soloist on Britten’s Decca recording of the Violin Concerto: a performance of idiomatic sweep which fully bears out the composer’s claim that ‘this is the performance I have been waiting for.’ He worked with all the great Russian conductors of his generation such as Kondrashin, Svetlanov and Rozhdestvensky.
