Star bassist and HUBRO veteran Mats Eilertsen presents his innovative cut and paste solo project featuring cameos from a supergroup of guests including Arve Henriksen, Eivind Aarset, Geir Sundstøl, Thomas Strønen and Per Oddvar Johansen.

The Fall’s second studio album, reissued as a 3CD clamshell box-set (also available as a limited splatter vinyl LP with 7” single replica of their ‘Rowche Rumble’ single). Alongside the full album are several b-sides and alternative takes plus live shows from Retford in 1979 and Los Angeles in 1979.

My Songs is the fourteenth studio album by British singer-songwriter Sting. This is his second studio album featuring new renditions of previously released material, the first one being 2010's Symphonicities. The album was released on 24 May 2019. The album features fifteen reworked versions of a selection of Sting's most widely recognised songs from across his career both as a member of The Police and as a solo artist. Via his social media outlets, Sting described the new versions of the songs as being reconstructed, refitted and reframed, and all of them with a contemporary focus. Some songs on the album have been remixed using elements of the original tracks, whilst others are complete re-recordings. French 2CD special edition sold exclusively at FNAC stores, including 'Desert Rose (Extended Version)'.

Kenny G has long been the musician many jazz listeners love to hate. A phenomenally successful instrumentalist whose recordings make the pop charts, Kenny G's sound has been a staple on adult contemporary and smooth jazz radio stations since the mid-'80s, making him a household name. Kenny G is a fine player with an attractive sound (influenced a bit by Grover Washington, Jr.) who often caresses melodies, putting a lot of emotion into his solos. Because he does not improvise much (sticking mostly to predictable melody statements), his music largely falls outside of jazz. However, because he is listed at the top of "contemporary jazz" charts and is identified with jazz in the minds of the mass public, he is classified as jazz.

Whenever I went to Bruce Broughton's house high up in the Hollywood hills, to hear something he was working on, he would prepare me with all kinds of disclaimers about how it wasn't going to sound very good, that it was just a "sketch," that the orchestration would do so much to enhance it … then he would proceed to play me the most beautiful, romantic melody-always fabulous, and always exactly the tone and mood I needed for the movie.
Maybe the music did sound better with an orchestra, but Bruce is so talented, and his music is so lyrical and beautiful, to me it sounds just as great when I'm humming it to myself walking out of the theater.
In addition, Bruce is the nicest, most self-effacing gentleman I have met, and had a' calming influence that spread over a frantic movie-making process

The latest revival of the MIB franchise, "Men in Black International" premiers on the 14th June 2019 and will be composed by Danny Elfman and Chris Bacon. While we still have no information on the official soundtrack we're sure it's going to be one of the most fun playlists of the summer.

Despite the use of period instruments, including some fine blaring natural horns, this couldn't be called a historically informed performance of Handel's Royal Fireworks Music, HWV 351. The work was not composed for a pleasant onboard afternoon musicale like the Water Music, but instead was part of an event that would have been one of the top items on CNN Headline News for 1749: the celebration of the Peace of Aix-la-Chapelle, brokered by King George II. After going to great lengths in the booklet to describe the back-and-forth between Handel, who scored the work for a mighty ensemble led by nine trumpets, and the king, who wanted more, the historical-instrument ensemble Zefiro and its leader Alfredo Bernardini give three, plus an agile group of four horns.
