The present recording brings together various examples of night music from the European tradition and constitutes a kaleidoscope refracting the manifold facets of night. In tells of brilliant celebrations, nocturnal love dramas and desires, tender lullabies, ghosts, birds of the night and the most holy of nights. It is Antonio Vivaldi's music that is pivotal to our recording. Providing a bridge between his works and functioning as interludes are songs, diminutions, motets, madrigals, sommeils and chaconnes from Spai, the Netherlands, France, England, Italy, Germany and Austria.

The oratorio "The Creation" is one of the highlights of Joseph Haydn's late oeuvre. The work, first performed in 1798, is considered the most successful work by the great composer and, at the same time, a prime example of the classical oratorio. The present recording of the creation dates from 1975. In the leading roles will sing the award-winning American soprano Helen Donath, the German tenor Adalbert Kraus and the Swiss bass baritone Kurt Widmer. They will be accompanied by the alto Vera Scherr as well as the Süddeutsche Madrigalchor and the Festival Orchestra Ludwigsburg, under the direction of Wolfgang Gönnenwein, the longtime artistic director of the festival (1972 to 2004).

After Tchaikovsky, but with Glazunov, and before Stravinsky and the rest, Nikolai Tcherepnin (1873-1945) made a not so quiet contribution to the continuing development of the Russian ballet. But he was quite an overshadowed figure, in large part due to the success of Stravinsky & his son, Alexander Tcherepnin and to modernist trends that became prevalent by the early Twentieth Century (Nikolay’s music remains rooted in the sound-worlds and mannerisms of Tchaikovsky, Massenet, and Faure). But the language of "Narcisse et Echo" (1911) and telling subtleties in its orchestral resources point to Ravel's "Daphnis et Chloe" written a year later.

After the release of the first three albums "In Memoriam", "Nights Of Lust" and "Miserere" Jason Köhnen (Mansur / The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble / The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation) has created The Lovecraft Sextet’s first soundtrack to a yet to be created movie. The Horror Cosmic is a Lovecraftian cosmic horror short story which dives into the existential dread of the infinite nothingness. The album was composed as a soundtrack to accompany the illustrated short story and is an expanded step in the multidisciplinary aspect of the Lovecraft Sextet project. Therefore this release should be listened to as a soundtrack with compositions working to accentuate a specific mood to the specific chapters of the story.

This past May, Foley was awarded the Blues Music Award for Traditional Blues Female Artist (Koko Taylor Award) in Memphis TN - an award she also won in 2022 and 2020.

The songs included on this album are entirely original, stereotype-breaking material developed jointly by both performers. The combination of jazz and electric guitar with a baroque harpsichord, as well as occasionally a clavichord and percussion instruments, sounds fresh and original. The use of electronic effects, preparation and amplification of the harpsichord, as well as the enrichment of the performance means with percussion techniques make each composition surprising with its dynamic and expressive scale, despite the modest instrumentation. The combination of elements of contemporary classical avant-garde, jazz and Latin music is the basis for extensive improvisations. Both artists are virtuosos of their instruments, who prove once again that they do not set any limits for them in the creative process, musicians are able to create completely new sounds. However, they are not the goal in themselves, the essence is the music itself - energetic, trance-like, and sometimes nostalgic, which will seduce not only jazz lovers.

Promotional EP featuring four tracks. "Only the Young" is a song written by Jonathan Cain, Steve Perry and Neal Schon of the band Journey. Previously intended for Journey's 1983 album Frontiers, it was pulled from the album within days of recording in favor of songs "Back Talk" and "Troubled Child". It was then sold to the band Scandal, who released it in 1984 on their album Warrior, as the first commercially released version of the song. Journey's version was included on the soundtrack to the 1985 film Vision Quest, and was also released as a single which reached the top 10 of the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.

The Entrance to Hell is one of those legendary exhumations at which the Angel Air label has become so adept, delving into archives that even their owners have seemingly forgotten, and emerging with treasures whose very reputations are the stuff of mythology. The jewel this time is the debut album by Bullet, the band formed by John Du Cann and Paul Hammond immediately after departing Atomic Rooster, but whose lifespan was cut short by the emergence of another, better-known American band of the same name. Bullet U.K. changed their name to Hard Stuff, and promptly re-recorded their already complete debut album, renaming it Bulletproof, and leaving the original tracks in the vault…

Def Leppard's second album, High 'N' Dry, continues in the vein of the anthemic, working-class hard rock of their debut. While still opting for a controlled musical attack and melodies as big-sounding and stadium-ready as possible, the band opens up its arrangements a bit more on High 'N' Dry, letting the songs breathe and groove while the rhythm section and guitar riffs play off one another. MTV helped break the album in the U.S. with its heavy rotation of the video for the unabashedly dramatic rock ballad "Bringin' on the Heartbreak."

An outstanding artiste on the Chicago musical scene, Carey, in addition to guiding his sons Lurrie, Steve and James towards the blues, did not fossilise his style into the urban one, but often enjoyed leaving the electric cage to perform acoustically in a duo. Although the results have been late in arriving, in spite of the occasional presence of famous musicians such as Louisiana Red, everything has changed after the issue of this CD. First of all the work is almost free of the usual standards, with the exception of ‘'Good Morning Little Schoolgirl’’ and ‘Stop Breaking Down’, and the parts between Bell and the guitarist/singer Spike Ravenswood (a linear and expressive partner, without instrumental egocentricities which are useless in the economy of work), are equally divided…

1989 (Taylor's Version) is the fourth re-recorded album by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, released on October 27, 2023, via Republic Records. It is a re-recording of Swift's fifth studio album, 1989 (2014), and follows Speak Now (Taylor's Version) as her second album in 2023. Announced on August 9, 2023, at the final Los Angeles show of the Eras Tour, the album is a part of Swift's response to her 2019 masters dispute. The 21-track 1989 (Taylor's Version) contains re-recorded versions of 16 tracks from the deluxe edition of 1989 and five previously unreleased "From the Vault" tracks. Swift, Jack Antonoff and Christopher Rowe produced the majority of the album, with original collaborators Ryan Tedder, Noel Zancanella, Shellback and Imogen Heap returning to contribute again.
