Ever the iconoclast, if there is one thing that Brian Eno has done with any degree of consistency throughout his varied career, it is presenting his art in an array of perpetually "out of the box" forums. All that changed – in a manner of speaking – with the release of two companion multi-disc compilations. Eno Box I: Instrumentals (1994) condenses his wordless creations, while Eno Box II: Vocals (1993) does the same for the rest of his major works on a similarly sized volume. Interestingly – and in his typically contrary fashion – this initial installment was actually issued last. Each of Eno Box I: Instrumentals' three CDs respectively concentrates on a specific facet of the artist's copious back catalog.

Art Of Noise pioneered the technique of sampling sounds and blending them into a melodic collage that defied simple classification. Variously described as hip hop, avante-garde, techno-pop, electro-jazz, drum and bass, and all points in between, the band influenced and inspired generations of musicians and left a lasting legacy. This 2CD set celebrates the diversity of their work on the iconic 1980s label, ZTT. Polish Radio Experimental Studio at Warszawa was founded in October 1957 by Jozef Patkowski who conducted the Studio till 1985. More then 200 autonomous compositions produced. Several hundreds titles for film, theatre, TV, radio and various exhibi¬tions came out from the Studio.

Kraftwerk have announced a 50th anniversary blu-ray edition of their 1975 album Radio-Activity. Using the original 16-track master tapes, Kraftwerk founder Ralf Hütter with engineer Fritz Hilpert have created a brand-new Dolby Atmos Mix which takes Kraftwerk’s first all-electronic album and brings vivid new shading, forensic detail and richly layered cinematic depth to the most boldly experimental album in the Kraftwerk catalogue. I heard the Atmos Mix at a playback event in London last week and they’ve done a very good job with this mix. The blu-ray edition features the album in the following versions: Dolby Atmos Mix; 5.1 Mix (48/24 – rendered from the Atmos); Stereo Mix (48/24) [2009 remastered audio].

Released in 2012 by Ninja Tune, the collection is structured as a deep exploration of his hybrid electronic language, blending IDM precision, cinematic orchestration, and rhythmically complex sound design. The ISAM Live material captures his groundbreaking audiovisual performance era, where sound and structure are reshaped into immersive, spatial experiences. Monthly Joints presents more intimate studio sketches and experiments, while Selected Scores highlights his work in cinematic composition with tense, atmospheric storytelling. The rarities section expands into lost material, collaborations, and early experiments that reveal the foundations of his style. Additional reinterpretations by various artists reframe his work through new perspectives, emphasizing the adaptability of his compositions. Live orchestral recordings further bridge electronic and classical performance practices, reinforcing the project’s scope as both retrospective and forward-looking. The result is a massive, genre-defying collection that documents one of electronic music’s most innovative artists across multiple creative dimensions.

This is Triple-A Ra: Audacious, Aggressive, Adventurous. These tracks capture Ra's electronic peregrinations during the 1970s and '80s. The Arkestra occasionally makes a cameo appearance but Ra commands the spotlight, not so much composing music as painting soundscapes with electronic keyboards.

This new Eighth Tower Records project, dedicated to the Lucio Fulci’s “Trilogy Of Death”, a unique and unrepeatable corpus in the history of Italian “supernatural cinema”, tries to imagine an alternative soundtrack for those movies. The several souls of Fulci’s movies are evoked by the musicians - Nàresh Ran, Mario Lino Stancati, Daniel Ferreira (Kloob), Leonardo Granchi (Bad Girl), Cristiano Bocci, Paolo Acquaviva (DuoSerpe), Sara Fontana, Dario Arrighi (Progetto No Name) - through a variety of music styles (electroacoustic, dark ambient, concrete music, progressive rock, drone music). Some of them kept in mind the lesson of the master Fabio Frizzi, the well known composer of the original soundtracks, while others escaped any attempt to revive that glorious tradition and interpreted Fulci’s horror universe in a totally contemporary and unedited way.

Scope Neglect is an experimental and genre-shifting album forged from Frost’s admiration for metal with the mindful removal of its conventional attributes. Where the record touches aspects of the genre, it’s met with glitching electronics, immersive ambient industrial churns and deeply contemplative explorations that result in something impossible to pigeonhole. Created with guitarist Greg Kubacki (from New York’s progressive metal band Car Bomb) and bassist Liam Andrews (from Melbourne band MY DISCO), the album was recorded at Candy Bomber studios in Berlin with engineer Ingo Krauss (Swans, Nick Cave, and Mick Harvey).
