    Genre: Hip-House, Pop Rap, Italo-House, Euro-Dance

Cinema is a spectacularly energetic, historically monumental, and masterfully synchronized debut studio album by the iconic British-born, Italian-based rap artist Ian Campbell, professionally known as Ice MC, released in 1990 via the prominent European imprints Scorpio Music and Touch Of Gold. Spanning over 47 minutes across 11 tracks, this high-fidelity document stands as a foundational monument to the early 1990s hip-house and embryonic Euro-dance movements. Orchestrated by the legendary Italian producer and label magnate Roberto Zanetti (better known as Savage or Robyx), this album completely redefined the continental club landscape by pairing rapid-fire raggamuffin and pop-rap vocal deliveries with driving electronic house rhythms, lush synthesizers, and unforgettable melodic hooks.

Music Wars - 40 Years of Central Station Records: the story of Central Station Records and its crucial role in the development of the electronic dance music scene in Australia and New Zealand from the 1970s to today. Founded in the 1970s, Central Station Records grew from a small independent Melbourne based store into an iconic dance music brand, recognised on a global scale. By the mid-90s, the brand held physical stores in major cities, busy mail-order and export operations, successful recording labels and streetwear lines. The focus was electronic dance music - from disco and house to hip hop and hardcore - and the whole lifestyle surrounding it. Meanwhile, sideline business, Metal for Melbourne, catered for another emerging and neglected market - heavy metal fans. In many ways, original owners Giuseppe (Jo) Palumbo and Morgan Williams were unlikely entrepreneurs. Both from the wrong side of the tracks in their respective birthplaces (Italy and New Zealand), they were motivated more by the prospect of achievement, freedom and fun than by any hunger for money and status. Unfortunately for them, freedom and fun were hard to come by for many years, as they contended with legal threats, supply embargoes and intimidation tactics. Fortunately, dance music took off in a big way. Generations of DJs, clubbers, ravers and radio listeners supported their stores and tunes. And it is to the dedicated and loyal fans that Central Station Records owes their thanks, in celebrating 40 years.

Raven is the long-anticipated sequel to Kelela’s impeccable studio debut and is slated for release February 10, 2023. Kelela emerges from the tides of her higher self’s oceanic orbit with a fifteen-track, continuous play LP exploring autonomy, belonging and self-renewal as healing. With all the sonic, visual, and physical sensualism that magnetized her early core fanbase, Kelela’s new album finds her more certain and at ease with her creative fluidity’s exceptionality, no matter how high or wide its waves. “Washed Away” and “Happy Ending” have already both been regaled with critical acclaim: Pitchfork called “Washed Away” a “showcase for her swooping soprano” and “Happy Ending” also demonstrative of her “breathy, decorous vocals.”

Collection includes: Pump Up The Jam (1989); Body To Body (1991); The Best Remixes (1991); Recall (1995). Of the many studio-based dance music projects that dominated the charts during the early '90s, few were so popular, or such an improbable success story, as Technotronic. Emerging from Belgium, the multicultural group helped push the deep bass grooves and insistent beats of house music out of the club scene and into the pop mainstream; ironically, they did so largely by hiding behind the photogenic visage of an African-born fashion model who, it was later revealed, did not even perform on their records. In reality, Technotronic was the brainchild of Jo Bogaert (real name Thomas de Quincy), an American-born philosophy teacher who relocated to Belgium in the late '80s in the hopes of mounting a career as a record producer. Bogaert's intent was to fuse house with hip-hop, and toward that aim he sent demos of his work to a variety of rappers, including the Welsh-born MC Eric and a Zairean-born teenager named Ya Kid K (aka Manuela Kamosi), at the time a member of the Belgian rap group Fresh Beat Productions.

The eighth release in the Sources series is the sister label to DJ International and an equally good source of authentic House music from one of the pioneer labels, Underground Records. In fact Underground records can be credited with scoring House music’s first No.1 hit with Steve ‘Silk’ Hurleys infectious “Jack Your Body” which hit the No.1 slot in the U.K. at the beginning of 1987 and was probably responsible for spreading the growth of House music throughout Europe. Despite having scored such a huge hit with their first release, Underground stayed true to its name and released scores of incredible records which have since become very collectible and have spawned some of the biggest names in House music history - Liz Torres featuring Kenny Jammin’ Jason, MD111, Tyree, E.S.P., Fingers Inc, Fast Eddie Smith, Sterling Void, K-Alexi to name a few. Recent years have seen a boom in the amount of interest in the label and now many of the original 12” releases have leapt in value and are commanding huge prices. Records like Cool House’s “Rock This Party Right”, MD111’s “Face The Nation”, Tyree’s “Acid Over” and E.S.P.’s “It’s U” among others, continue to rocket in price. All are included in this exceptional package! As with all Sources releases, ‘Sources: The DJ International Records Anthology’ has been lovingly compiled using the best mixes as chosen by Bill Brewster and lovingly re-mastered to make these slices of 1980s dance music history sound the best they’ve ever sounded. If you’re into original authentic House Music direct from one of the richest sources, then look no further. “Sources: The Underground Records Anthology” is a must for any serious House music collection.

This UK digital single was reissued and released in 2014 by Elektra/Rhino.

Forever Everlasting is the debut album recording by Caucasian rapper Everlast, who was part of Ice-T's Rhyme Syndicate. The album featured three minor hit singles, including "Never Missin' A Beat", "The Rhythm" (which features Ice-T, Donald D and Diva), and the great "I Got The Knack". This was his only album released through Warner Bros. Records before he formed House Of Pain. He wouldn't release anymore solo material until 1998, when he met with great success with "What It's Like".
