Montana-born, honey-voiced singer Nicolette Larson headed west in 1974 and quickly became a member of the '70s California rock scene. She sang backup with Hoyt Axton and Commander Cody, did sessions with Emmylou Harris, Linda Ronstadt, and Neil Young, and landed a solo deal with Warner Bros., which, in late 1978, released her first single, "Lotta Love" (penned by her mentor Young). It went Top 10, spurred her debut album Nicolette to gold, and launched a promising career. She cut four albums for Warner Bros. and guested on records by others ranging from the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band to Van Halen. In Nashville, Larson starred in the musical Pump Boys And Dinettes and cut the album Say When, proving she was adept at country too. Sadly, Nicolette passed away in December 1997 of complications arising from cerebral edema; she was just 45. Now Rhino is proud to bring you the only collection devoted to this underappreciated artist's best solo recordings, The Very Best Of Nicolette Larson. Featuring the hit singles and key tracks from her nine albums released on Warner Bros., MCA, and Sony Wonder, it also includes previously unreleased live versions of "French Waltz" and "Baby, Don't You Do It".

Digitally remastered two CD set containing a trio of albums from the acclaimed vocalist. This set features Nicolette Larson's first three solo albums from 1978, 1979 and 1981. Larson had been a singer with Commander Cody and on the back of that obtained her Warner Bros contract. All three albums made the US Top 100, with Nicolette peaking at #15 and the single 'Lotta Love' making the Top 10. Larson was very much an interpreter of other people's songs, with producer Ted Templeman coaxing the best from her. Larson sadly died in 1997.

'I'm the Problem' is the fourth studio album by American country music singer Morgan Wallen. Wallen spent nearly a year writing and honing the tracklist on a farm outside of Nashville with his crew of collaborators that includes producers Joey Moi and Charlie Handsome, boiling down the sessions into a collection that combines 'Wallen's country, cross and dirt-rock influences' while also taking inventory of 'where he's been and where he's headed - and not shying away from the past'.

Hasten Down the Wind is the Grammy Award-winning seventh studio album by singer/songwriter/producer Linda Ronstadt. Released in 1976, it became her third straight million-selling album. Ronstadt was the first female artist in history to accomplish this feat. The album earned her a Grammy Award for 'Best Pop Vocal Performance - Female' in 1977, her second of 13 Grammys. It represented a slight departure from 1974's Heart Like a Wheel and 1975's Prisoner in Disguise in that she chose to showcase new songwriters over the traditional country rock sound she had been producing up to that point. A more serious and poignant album than its predecessors, it won critical acclaim. The album showcased songs from artists such as Warren Zevon ("Hasten Down the Wind") and Karla Bonoff ("Someone to Lay Down Beside Me"), both of whom would soon be making a name for themselves in the singer-songwriter world.

Having made an enormous contribution to the establishment of the Nashville Sound and the modernisation of country music, Anita Kerr felt the need to expand her artistic horizons and in 1965, made the move from Nashville to Hollywood. She wanted to work with different people, to get her own songs recorded, to play jazz, to conduct an orchestra, to take on more ambitious and more varied projects musically, and to form a vocal group which, rather than be confined to studio sessions, might also appear in club and concert settings. Her arrival on the West Coast was well timed. She had just fought off The Beatles to win a Grammy for the album We Dig Mancini and she was quickly able to assemble a stellar Anita Kerr Singers (B.J Baker: alto, Gene Merlino: tenor; Bob Tebow: bass, with Anita herself as soprano and soloist) and secure a contract more tailored to her needs with Warner Brothers. The result over the next two years, were these five superbly fashioned albums.

Susan Jacks (nee Pesklevits) began her singing career at the age of 14, was a regular performer on a national Canadian television show at 15 and appeared as a guest on numerous other television shows in Canada and the U.S. At 18, she hired Terry Jacks to accompany her on rhythm guitar. Craig McCaw was soon added on lead guitar and Susan stopped performing solo engagements, dedicating her time to the trio. They would eventually add Satwant Singh on tablas, recording and performing as The Poppy Family featuring Susan Jacks. As the voice of the Poppy Family, Susan and the group recorded a string of hit records, the most notable being "Which Way You Goin' Billy?", "That's Where I Went Wrong" and "Where Evil Grows". Susan left the Poppy Family in 1972, resuming her solo career and recorded a string of hits through the seventies and eighties. The Dream album, recorded in 1975, was received with rave reviews as she crossed from a predominantly light pop genre to a more alternative format, moving easily through blues, country rock and alternative rock. Produced by Claire Lawrence, who was not only an accomplished rock musician but also an innovative and solid producer, the album was abruptly removed from the market a few short months after its release, its future uncertain. After regaining her rights to the album and re-mastering by the best in the business, this extraordinary album is now available on CD.
